Welcome to Camperplaats Vale do Feto in Lardosa/Portugal

Are you looking for a unique place, away from mass tourism in Portugal? Then you have come to the right place at camperplaats Vale do feto in Lardosa. Discover the real center of Portugal with its authentic villages and beautiful nature.

We are less than 4 minutes from the highway.

The A23 exit 25 Lardosa.

We are open all year round. Seven spacious camper pitches have been created (5 m wide, 10 m long), as well as a few spots for tents. Shore power is available, and there is a possibility to shower in our new, spacious shower room.

Your pet is welcome provided it is on a leash!

Upon arrival, you can simply choose your own spot. When you are standing in front of the entrance, please drive a short distance further to the red and white chain. Please hang the chain back up, as a flock of sheep regularly passes by and walks onto our grounds. We come by regularly and can then help you with electricity.

Services

Spacious camper pitches on a small-scale private site. With the necessary amenities you need, such as: electricity, water, a spacious shower, and a spacious toilet.

In the future, there will be a small shop for essentials such as toiletries, fresh eggs from our own chickens, vegetables from our own vegetable garden, and fruit from our own orchard (this is still under construction).

There are 7 camper pitches.

And some lovely spots for tent travelers, cyclists, and/or motorcyclists.

You will be situated among olive, orange, and lemon trees.

Don't have a tent or camper?

But you still want to get away for a bit to beautiful Portugal. Then we also have a luxury caravan with a veranda for rent. It is fully equipped and suitable for 4 people. (1 fixed bed for 2 people, and a spacious round seating area where 2 sleeping places are also possible.) Renting this caravan is 250 euros for the entire week.

There is also a smaller, 2-person, retro caravan available. For 150 euros per week.

Pets are not allowed in either caravan.

Also, for the fishing enthusiast, there is a super large and beautiful reservoir with various small beaches. Beautiful carp, catfish, and predatory fish are regularly caught there. And all this just 5 minutes away from the camper pitch.

The reservoir is also ideal for a day of doing nothing.

   

Frequently asked questions

What are the rates for a camper pitch?

The rates vary. Depending on the donation you wish to pay for the overnight stays you have had.

Next to the power station is a small box where you can place your donation.

This allows us to preserve and maintain this beautiful, peaceful place.

Are pets allowed at the camper pitch?

Pets are allowed on the camper pitch, provided they are kept on a leash and under supervision. No pets are allowed in the rental caravan.

Are there restaurants near Vale do Feto?

In the vicinity of Vale do Feto, you can find various restaurants where you can enjoy local dishes.

  • A Laia do Vitor. A family-run restaurant with homemade, high-quality Portuguese dishes. They are especially known for their Perfecte Bochechas de Porco assadas (roasted pork cheeks) - tender, flavorful, and a true specialty of the region. Also great for families/friends. A warm atmosphere and good value for money.
  • O Leao. Conveniently located along the N18/near the A23 (perfect if you are on the road). Known for classic Portuguese dishes such as: Tamboril (Monkfish), grilled meats, and excellent coffee. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed.
  • In the surrounding area(Fundao and region - absolutely worth it!)  Fundao is the place for really good food in the region. The restaurants here are famous for typical Beira cuisine. Basic dishes: Cabrito no Forno (Oven-baked lamb), regional cheeses (such as Queijo de Castelo Branco), Migas, Maranhos, and sweets such as Tigelada

  • Restaurante 1e de Janeiro > excellent for grilled meats and traditional dishes.
  • Restaurante Herminia >highly praised for homemade authentic meals.
  • O Mario > known for spicy regional cheeses and local wines - a must for wine and cheese lovers.
  • Alkimya or Casa das Muralhas > Slightly more modern with regional influences
